ThreeBeez builds and maintains sophisticated web based, database driven knowledge management tools. These tools usually involve customised applications for larger enterprises and organisations.
CALMA (Contract and Agreements Look-up and Management Application) is due for release in April 2009. We are currently working with the Australian Nurses Federation to develop a customised version of CALMA for Trade Unions. CALMA Unions is a great tool for trades unions needing to manage information on awards, agreements, policy documents, acts of parliaments, deeds and memoranda of understanding pertaining to worksites and industries.
The Ports of Convenience Database was completed in 2008 for the International Transport Federation of Unions based in London, one of the worlds largest international umbrella union organisations. The POC database holds data on the 20 major network shipping terminal operators, regulators and all the major ports of the world. The database also holds detailed document libraries to enable sharing of information on major shipping companies and agreements on a port by port basis. It enables affiliates around the worls to keep information up to date. It is a model of how trade unions across the world can co-operate in information sharing and knowledge management on a global basis.
